Finding the Real Value in Personal Training

Finding the Real Value in Personal Training

Teaching people how to put on muscle?

There is NO VALUE in that.

It’s not rocket science. Gym bros have been doing it for years with zero scientific background.

Loads of “experts” have the science completely back to front — and still achieve results.

It's pretty simple:

  1. Lift weights through a variety of movements that cover the basics. (A quick Google search and a few YouTube videos will get you that for free.)
  2. Over time, gradually add weight, reps, or both.
  3. Eat enough food. Ensure that enough of it is protein, and that not too much is sugary fatty processed rubbish.

There you go — you’ve put on muscle.

Want to then cut down fat?

  1. Drop the amount of food that isn’t protein.
  2. Maintain the lifting program.
  3. If you start losing weight, drop the food a little more.
  4. Repeat until the objective is achieved.

ANYONE can do this …

… as long as they can handle the side effects.

As long as their joints can take the stress of applying force to muscle tissue.

THE REAL VALUE is being able to help people for whom “traditional exercise” causes pain that limits progress.

THE REAL VALUE lies in achieving more stimulus with fewer sets — reducing the volume going through their genetically less tolerant joints.

THE REAL VALUE lies in future-proofing your currently capable client against chronic damage down the line.

And, bonus value — by making exercise more efficient, you’re saving your client some precious time.

The public may not understand this.

They just think they need someone to help them put on muscle.

Maybe that’s how we market ourselves to them …

… but as professionals looking to increase our value …

… We have to understand this so we can execute it.

Next week, we'll discuss high value personal training in even more detail.
